Midwest Auto Store is seeking an individual to fill a need for a LOT TECHNICIAN. With an inventory of 300 internal vehicles plus an additional task of growing a young outside customer pay business- we are looking for someone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding experience. ONLY outstanding individuals with strong work ethics.

Requirements:

  • Manage lot daily needs such as fueling, stickers, battery. . . to ensure vehicle sale readiness
  • Maintain lot organized and clean
  • Communicate and interact with other specialists (detailing, service, and sales)effectively
  • Clean & Deliver sold units as needed
  • Support Detailing Department as needed

The individual best suited for our available position should possess the following experience and skills:

– Prior experience would be a plus
– Ability to multi-task
– Extreme attention to details
– Paint restoration skills would be a plus (buffing, wet sanding..)
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment (multi tasking)

Below are some of the functions and requirements of the position:

Body Shop Estimator/Parts

  • Accurately estimates the cost of repairing damages including collision, dents, scratches, paint damages…
  • Determines feasibility of repair or replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors, according to familiarity with relative costs and extent of damage
  • Deal professionally with collision technicians, vendors, and insurance companies
  • Order required parts accurately, in a timely manner, and in the most cost effective manner
  • Process paperwork quickly and accurately
  • Assist Manager with production meetings and posting production board metrics
  • Allocate work through the department treating employees and customers fairly
  • Any and all other tasks as assigned by Management

Work experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a Collision Center or as Insurance Adjustor is REQUIRED
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of body repairs, parts, and insurance processes is REQUIRED

Midwest Auto Store is expanding and looking for an additional individuals who have shown an extensive work history, positive attitude, and great work ethics.

We have grown from 40-50 cars to a 250-300 units and plan to expand again to host 500-800 units and we need people to grow with us.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage vehicle purchases from related auctions, print all condition reports, and input to DMS system
  • List and manage transportation for all vehicles from auction to the dealership
  • Prepare and handle funding packets on daily basis
  • Process Vehicles for Sherriff Inspection
  • Process paperwork required for vehicle registration, tax, and title in the respective customer state
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the DMV and track tax/title fees for over/under and notify customers when plates are ready
  • Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications and ensure that all
  • Liens are perfected in less than 30 days
  • Manage and process payoffs
  • Other duties as assigned

Midwest Auto Store is expanding our service department and looking for an additional 3 technicians who have shown an extensive work history, positive attitude, and great work ethics.

We have grown form a 2 lift dealership with 40-50 cars to a 250-300 units and 13 lifts and plan to expand again to host 500-800 units and hold 30-40 bay garage shop and we need people to grow with us.

We have plenty of work, servicing our current inventory of 250+ units as well as warranty and customer pay jobs. Our techs always maintain a minimum of 40+ Hrs/week and we hardly ever slow down.

Each tech get a minimum of 2 lifts with a total of 13 available.

We offer full benefits of paid vacation, health/dental/vision insurance as well as a very generous employee/family discounts. Our pay structure is extremely competitive and reward performers with great base pay, productivity bonuses, and sign up bonuses for qualified ones.

Base pay plan:

A Tech $25-30/Hr
B Tech $19-24
Lube Tech $10-12

Bonus Ask for more details about bonus for producing more than 45 hrs/week

Essential Functions:

  • Examine and inspect used vehicles daily for lot readiness and mechanical issues
  • Troubleshoot issues effectively and in a timely manner using ALL available resources (tools and electronic information.)
  • Ability to approach all areas of repair (brake, suspension, fuel, airbag/electronic, etc.) with the same level of knowledge and work ethic
  • Ability to teach, train and mentor technicians in a team environment
  • Diagnose drivability conditions
  • Possess and follow a routine diagnostic path for repeatable results and to ensure work quality
  • Maintain organization of work area
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze data from scan tools to correctly identify diagnostic path and proper work to be completed

Position Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Must be able to pass a background/alcohol/drug check
  • Previous automotive experience is REQUIRED (5 years or more preferred).
  • ASE certifications are a PLUS
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some Saturdays
  • Ability to work independently
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude

ASK ABOUT OUR SIGN-UP BONUS & QUARTERLY PERFORMANCE BONUS

Essential Functions:

  • Perform teardown blueprint of vehicle and request necessary parts to repair
  • De-trim and disassemble vehicles
  • Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Straighten and repair damaged panels and parts.
  • Perform unibody repair and light frame pulls
  • Maintain repair timeline and progress to plan for final reassembly
  • Responsible for reassembly and final alignments.
  • Maintain company standards of repair quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain records and notes on repair orders for documentation

Position Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Must be able to pass a background/alcohol/drug check
  • Previous collision repair experience/school training preferred
  • ASE and I-Car certifications are preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently
